An implant is a biocompatible element, that is, it is accepted by the body without it rejecting it. They are usually titanium and come to replace the tooth root. In our clinic we use minimally invasive techniques (without stitches) to introduce them into the jaws and in a single intervention. Once placed in the maxilla, it needs a time of osseointegration to later put on it the missing piece. Implant prostheses are divided into fixed or removable prostheses. The fixed ones can be from one to all the dental pieces of the mouth. These fixed prostheses can be cemented or screwed to the implant. The removable ones on implants are the called overdentures, whose base of resin covers the dental implants and are connected to them by means of spherical attachments or system of anchorage for Locator implants.
